This car started out as an unmolested 2002 Miata SE, which means that it does have the Torsen LSD. It received a full refresh in the summer of 2018 including a new water pump and timing belt. The head was professionally decked and rebuilt, a new OPL aluminum radiator was added and all of the hoses were replaced with new Mazda stock.
The clutch was replaced with a Supermiata 4 puck, and a 10.25lb lightened flywheel installed. The shifter was rebuilt with the 5X Racing kit, including the brass bushing for longevity. Combined with the Mazda Competition engine mounts and differential bushings, shifting on track is clean and fun.

A Suzuki Cappuccino washer fluid bottle has been located under the cowl.

Moving the washer fluid bottle allowed the Flyin Miata oil filter relocation kit to be installed in its place. Without one, getting to the filter on an NB with air conditioning and emissions equipment intact can be very frustrating – with one, its a very simple swap.

The header has been replaced with the Racing Beat 4 into 1, feeding a 2.5″ RoadsterSport mid pipe with cat and the RoadsterSport 4 Helmholtz muffler. A Track Dog Racing heat shield keeps under-hood temperatures down.
New clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, and stainless cable were installed in early 2021. At the same time the brakes, transmission, differential, and radiator were flushed with new fluid. All fluids have been replaced every year.
Oil changed every 10-15 track hours, currently running Mobile One 15w50 full synthetic for better protection in the Texas summers. The fake oil pressure sender has been replaced with a Track Dog Racing one for accurate gauge readings.
